A Glimpse of my Life

Family and friends, quantum physics, and real estate define the person I am today. My life journey started back in January 1979 in Lebanon. It is a journey of different paths across continents, and careers.

Son of Youssef M. Abi-Salloum and Souhaila T. Wakim, I was born and raised in Lebanon. Growing up active in "Scouts Du Liban" (eagle scout) and "Faith and Light" helped shape a major part of who I am today. Currently, I fulfil my compassion to serve through the Rotrary Club of Media.

I attended Sagesse Achrafieh High School and continued to The Lebanese University II (Fanar) where I earned my Maitrise in Physics (B.S. equivalent) in July 2000.

In February of 2001, I left Lebanon and moved to Philadelphia, USA to pursue my Ph.D. in Physics at Drexel University. I graduated from Drexel in June, 2006 and joined in September the Department of Physics and Astronomy at Widener University. I became an associate professor (tenured) in 2011, then served as the Chair of the department from 2013 to 2016.

Physics and real estate are two unseparatable parts of me. A real estate investment started in 2008, followed by me becoming a licensed Realtor in the state of Pennsylvania in 2012. Leen Salloum, my wife, and I established our real estate team with Keller Williams Real Estate in May 2013, and then moved to Compass in August 2019.

While quantum physics and real estate rock my world, my family and friends are my world. I am especially blessed to have my life partner and wife Leen Khalifa Salloum and our daughters Ruby and Julia Salloum. Being a husband and dad has been the most precious thing in my life.

Thank you,

 Tony Y. Salloum
